Name: Cho Chang
Age: 37
Occupation: Playing for the Tutshill Tornadoes
Appearance: Cho's managed to keep quite a bit of her attractive features from when she was a young girl. They're much less "soft" then they were back then, but otherwise, she's not at all unrecognizable. Cho has always been told how pretty she is, which is anything but a lie. She has silky black hair that goes down her back. She often has a small piece of her hair up with a clip or a ponytail holder, partly to make it look elegant and partly because her hair would be all over her face otherwise. She had a heart shape face and a peaches and cream complexion. Her eyes are a dark brown and almond shaped. One notable thing about her face is how expressive it is. Cho couldn't hide her emotions if she tried, so she doesn't. Her body type is rather slim, but curvy and she's very petite (and darn proud of it).
Family: Jin and Lee Chang, her parents, but as of right now, no one else
Personality: Cho has an immensely big heart, which cares for what other people feel and is also fully aware of how she feels. Either way, when things are going badly, she tends to be deeply hurt by it. She just can't help how she feels and stopped trying to a long time ago. On the plus side, she's very sympathetic and doesn't really let someone's social status decide how she thinks of them. She waits until someone gives her a reason to be annoyed with them to dislike them (ie: Ron interrogating her about her Tornadoes badge, Umbridge denying how Cedric really died).
Despite this, Cho can come off as being terribly spoiled and vain, which is true as well. After all, she's been treated as if she were something special her whole life. As a result, she expects things to be a certain way, particularly with her relationships. It'll seem like she's expecting too much of you if you're not the kind of person who will let her cry on your shoulder when she needs to (and it seems like she needs it quite a bit). However, those who are willing to be there for her find that in return, no matter what you may do, she'll stand up for you. Usually, she sees people for who they are, even when they're at their worst. However, she can get horribly jealous if she's not getting enough attention from her friends and will be rather spiteful to show it.
Cho has a tendency to seem rather melodramatic and will probably cry at the drop of a hat. However, when she focuses, one can see that she's very intelligent, hence her place in the Ravenclaw House. But she has to be able to focus, because if you break her concentration, the task at hand will get ruined somehow. When it comes to the opposite sex, they're the biggest, but most welcome distractions she has. When it comes to romantic relationships, she gives a lot, and expects to get that in return. Again, she's used to being pampered, so you have to be willing to do that. Still, she's very idealistic, devoted in everything she cares for (goals and boys) .
Brief History: Cho was born in a wizarding community nearby Aberdeen, Scotland to newlyweds Jin and Lee Chang. Her mother had a position involving Charms with the Ministry and her father helped run a small broomstick shop, so her family was slightly more than middle class. Being their first and only child, both parents did their best to make her feel special. They showered her with little gifts and pretty clothes throughout most of her early childhood, but at the same time, made sure she knew that there were other people who had needs too. All in all, they did a rather decent job.
She had her first years of education at a Muggle elementary school and had a generally decent time. She was quite bright and had more than enough friends. She fit right in, so when the paint would mysteriously fall or someone might trip when Cho's feelings were hurt, no one ever suspected that it might have been because of her. All except for Cho of course. One day when she was six, soon after a boy that was teasing her best friend found himself in a trash can with no explanation, she finally asked her father "Daddy, am I a witch?" Her parents never kept it from her; they just never really discussed the fact that they were different from most, so of course, they were honest with her. She was actually relieved, because that would explain how things at home and things in school seemed so different. Besides, it opened her up to the world of Quidditch, the Tutshill Tornadoes being her favorite team. The only deal was that she had to keep it a secret. It wasn't easy, but she managed to for another five years.
Just after her eleventh birthday, she was spending time at a friend's house, trying on some new clothes when she got a phone call from her mother to come home right away. Anticipating what it possibly was, she rushed to her house as quickly as she could and found an owl sitting on their kitchen table. Needless to say, there was quite a celebration in the Chang household that day.
By September 1st, Cho's bags were all packed, she bid her Muggle friends farewell (they were told she was going to a very secret, but reputable private school. Of course they believed it; Mr. Chang blamed television for making them so gullible.) and she was on her way to the Hogwarts Express. She never forgot how surprised she got when her parents refused to tell her exactly how to get onto the Platform. They thought she'd be able to figure it out by herself. After about ten minutes of thinking, she leaned against Platform 9 out of frustration and found herself falling through. Apparently, her parents gave her just the right amount of credit.
Her first few years of school were a fantastic blur of magic, chatting and friends. She found herself being just as popular at Hogwarts, particularly in her own Ravenclaw House, as she was back at home. She also found that she had quite a talent for Quidditch and became her house team's seeker in her fourth year. Of course she noticed how a year after she came, the famous Harry Potter had arrived at Hogwarts as well. Hearing several rumors about his adventures definitely drew her fascination in, but nothing more than how'd one would find fascination in an interesting television program or a suspenseful book; you just want to know what happens next. When she finally got a chance to play Quidditch alongside Harry, she found how Oliver yelled at him for "being a gentleman" for her amusing. From then on, she made a point to be kind to him, just in case Oliver was right.
In her fifth year, the Triwizard Tournament caused one Cedric Diggory to catch Cho's eye. Shallow as it was, she just loved to look at him. Still, he seemed to have an entourage with him wherever he went (which wasn't unlike her own), so she thought being able to speak with him alone with be impossible. Just before the Yule Ball however, she saw him walk over to while she was speaking with some friends on a weekend. Marietta, being her forceful best friend, pushed Cho over to Cedric so they could speak alone. To her immense shock, Cedric asked if she would like to go to the ball with him. Of course, she accepted. Despite being rather excited, she was very sorry to have to reject Harry, especially since he was so nervous. Her empathetic nature encouraged her to be as gentle as she could with the younger boy. However, it wasn't enough to stop her from having a night that seemed to be out of a fairytale. Or a year out of a fairytale. Cedric was everything she wanted in a boyfriend and more. She was sure that they'd be together forever.
Needless to say, her dream became a nightmare when she saw him blast out of the maze dead, alongside Harry. It was because of being so heartbroken that she believed Harry's story on
Voldemort being the cause of Cedric's death. Nothing else made sense and besides, his story meant that she had someone to blame. Despite that meanspirited comfort, she began falling apart by the next year. Her only source of comfort was yet another goal; she started developing feelings for Harry. Perhaps it was only because he was the last decent person to see Cedric alive, but she didn't question it. She sought him out many times, but failed in quite a few.
Her yearning to avenge Cedric's death and need to be closer to Harry motivated her to join Dumbledore's Army. For the first few meetings, she stumbled over spells whenever Harry came close by. Just before Christmas, after a particularly good meeting, Cho managed to get Harry alone. She burst into tears over Cedric, crying on Harry's shoulder. Despite his general discomfort, which she sensed, he did a rather good job at cheering her up. She then kissed him. Hence, the shortlived Chang/Potter romance began. On their first real date, Harry had to leave early to "see Hermione". Needless to say, Cho got quite jealous and hoped to give him a clue on that by casually mentioning Roger Davies, another man after her heart. He didn't seem to get a clue, however, so the date ended rather awfully. After Harry's article in the Quibbler came out, Cho and Harry made up and tried it again. It was all over when Marietta betrayed the DA. Cho tried to defend Marietta, pointing out how Marietta's mother was in the Ministry and what they were doing was against the rules. When Harry said that Hermione's idea to put "SNEAK" in purple pimples on Marietta's face was brilliant, Cho snapped "Oh of course! If it's darling Hermione's idea!" Needless to say, their relationship didn't survive that downfall. It took her two years to forgive him and she had hoped that they could patch things up. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work out very well.
Despite her insecurities with her Quidditch talents, she managed to make it onto her favorite Quidditch team a few years after graduating Hogwarts. She's had a generally good life along with the rest of the world at Voldemort's downfall. Now she's just tired of being alone. Sure, she has friends, but she wants romance back in her life.
Things Worth Mentioning:
*RP Sample: Cho blew a strand of hair out of her eyes and sighed. Sometimes the anxiety that came from these games drove her absolutely batty. Leaning against the wall, she squeezed her almond eyes shut and breathed deeply. No need to worry about this Cho. You've done this hundreds of times...well, not to this extent, but you've played hundreds of times. There's no need to have a fit. Having a fit isn't going to help you catch that Snitch. Internal pep talks really should be given more credit. After all, they had helped Cho quite a few times.
Her mind cleared enough for her to calm down, she rushed to where she knew her team was waiting. Flashing a smile, she looked out onto the field. They were definitely going to have a good game; the conditions were perfect. Anxiety becoming excitement, she mounted her broom.
If your character is canon and this applies to you...
Character traits that you have added (ie, Hermione can't eat alphabet soup because the scrambled letters drive her crazy): She's an absolute pack rat and keeps the oddest things. Thankfully, most of these things are in a little scrapbook of her own. As someone who clings to memories, she feels the need to hold onto everything. The room in her own house is almost identical to the one she had back with her parents.

- She's certainly attempted dating. It's just never worked out. She's beginning to wonder if she's looking for another Cedric and that's the reason why.
