Name: Hermione Granger Weasley
Age: 36
Occupation: Magical Law Enforcement Officer for the Ministry
Appearance:
Family: Daughter of George and Jane Granger, Wife of Ron Weasley, Aunt of the Potter children and the Weasley children, Mother of Rose and Hugo Weasley
Personality: Hermione is brave and loyal and has a fierce political conscience; for instance, while fighting the Devil's Snare, when told to light a fire, she memorably responds “There’s no wood!”, the unlikely lie she tells Professor Umbridge to save Harry (she claims that there is a weapon in the forest, created upon Dumbledore’s orders), and her later failure to adequately subdue a Death Eater in the Department of Mysteries (she silences rather than stuns him, leaving him conscious, suggesting that in the heat of the moment, she forgot about non-verbal spell casting). Indeed, Hermione's intellect is strongest in memory and objective analysis, and she sometimes has difficulty when forced to make snap judgements. It should be noted however, that it is usually her plans that Harry and Ron (sometimes grudgingly) follow. While she has made mistakes, whatever she suggests usually is the best course of action.
Although compassionate, she can be naïve and even insensitive when dealing with people, despite her position as the "sensitive one" in the trio. A good example is her ham-handed attempt to comfort Lavender Brown over the death of her rabbit. Hermione often shows a complete lack of understanding of how she affects other people. Hermione is deeply insecure and feels utterly inadequate underneath. To compensate, she tries to be the best at everything at school, projecting a false confidence that can irritate people.
Hermione can get very annoyed with people who either do not know (what to her are) simple facts, or else do not follow (what to her are) sensible ideas. While she strongly supports obeying rules, she has, since joining up with Harry and Ron, shown a willingness to break the rules when necessary, as well as showing a vindictive streak against those who wrong her.

Brief History: Not long after the Final Battle, Hermione traveled with Ron to Australia to restore her parents' memories. She spent the next few months with them, taking some time for herself to relax after the seven years worth of battle and turmoil. It didn't take long for Ron and Hermione to begin dating, both having realized the full extent of their feelings after taking a step back and actually evaluating them.
After 6 months back at home, Hermione left her parents' house, buying a small flat in London, not far from Diagon Alley. She worked at a small Muggle bookstore to keep a steady income while looking for a job at the Ministry. After reading an article in the Daily Prophet about the often brutal mistreatment of House Elves by wealthy wizarding families, she was completely appalled. She then began working with the Department of Regulation and Care of Magical Creatures for the Ministry in an attempt to gain rights for House Elves.
Hermione fought for two years, appearing in many highly publicized trials and protesting several times, also coming to gain a small following of witches and wizards against the mistreatment of House Elves. She eventually won her case, the Ministry granting the Elves many long awaited rights and freedoms. She was quite proud of herself, not only for winning a hard-fought battle, but for proving to Ron that S.P.E.W. wasn't a waste of her time. She was quickly offered a position in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement after her work in trials during the House Elf cases. After some deliberation, she took the job, quickly finding her niche in the office.
By that point in time, Ron had proposed, and he and Hermione were happy as clams planning their wedding, with much assistance from Mrs. Weasley, of course. They returned to The Burrow, staying with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley for the remaining few weeks before the wedding. They were married in the same place as Bill and Fleur, with the entire Weasley family in attendance, as well as several mutual friends. They took a month-long honeymoon, spending two weeks in Egypt at Ron's request and two in France at Hermione's. Upon returning to England, they bought a cottage in Ottery St. Catchpole, not too far from Shell Cottage.
Hermione gave birth to their first child, Rose, in 2006. Their son, Hugo, was born two years later. Hermione has now worked her way up in the Law Enforcement office, and is one of the best lawyers in the system. Ron and Harry have revolutionized the Auror office, and have helped bring several highly dangerous Dark Wizards to justice. Most recently, the couple sent their first child to Hogwarts.
Things Worth Mentioning:
**Sometimes does work as an Auror when Ron and Harry are shorthanded
**Turned down position as Hogwarts' librarian to work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement
**Still has her beloved copy of Hogwarts: A History, and has forbidden anyone else to touch it after nearly losing it to Victoire.
**Sometimes wishes to go back to Hogwarts for a day just to explore the halls that she once called home.
**Has a birthmark on thigh just below hip in the shape of a crescent moon
*RP Sample: Hugo followed after Hermione toward Platform 9 3/4, slightly disappointed that he wasn't able to go yet. He'd miss his sister being there. "Mum?" he asked, looking up at her. "How long is it 'til Christmas?"
Hermione smiled down at Hugo, thinking a moment. "Well, if today's September 1st, it'll be a little over 3 months from now." Seeing the look of disappointment on Hugo's face deepen, she chuckled to herself. "You're going to miss Rosie, aren't you?" Hugo nodded, dropping his gaze to the pavement.
She knelt down in front of her son, taking him gently by the shoulders. "Guess what?" she asked. Hugo shrugged his shoulders in response. "We're all going to miss her. And you know what else? I bet she'll miss you too."
"I bet not. There's lots to do at Hogwarts, she told me. She'll probably be too busy to miss me."
Hermione frowned gently, pulling Hugo into a hug. "Now, you know that's not true. Your sister's going to miss all of us like crazy. But it's not as if we won't speak to her for three months. She'll write often, I promise. And you could write hr too, if you want," she suggested with a smile.
"Really?" Hugo asked, his eyes lighting up. Hermione nodded, standing back up. The mood considerably lightened, the two caught up to Ron and Rose in time to hear Ron declare Rose wouldn't be able to come home were she to get into Slytherin. Rolling her eyes, Hermione laughed. "Come now, Ron. You remember we promised she'd be able to come home, we just wouldn't speak to her," she replied, winking down at Hugo to assure him she was joking. Hugo laughed as well as his mother guided him by the shoulders through the gate to Platfrom 9 3/4.
